  9. previous versions. Please distribute as widely as possible.

  11. Well, here it is. The second group of icons. I want to
  12. thank all the folks out there who sent me e-mail
  13. and provided me with lots of incentive to get this out.
  14. I've gotten tons of great suggestions for icons and 
  15. want to thank everyone for their help. I would also 
  16. like to thank the people who sent me pictures, which
  17. promptly got turned into more icons.
  18.  
  19. Unbelievably, the collection still is not complete; 
  20. I am at this moment making still more guest stars 
  21. and secondary characters. It is a testimony to the 
  22. Simpsons show that so many characters have graced 
  23. it in the 4+ years it's existed. I have tried to get to as 
  24. many of them as I can in this volume, plus volumes 1 & 3
  25. of my Simpsons icons, which you should be able to find 
  26. at archive sites. I will concentrate mostly on the 
  27. suggestions that people have e-mailed me. So it's to 
  28. your advantage to e-mail me and give me your ideas for icons.

  31. These icons are free for your enjoyment. So instead of 
  32. asking for money (which I couldn't do anyway, as they 
  33. are copyrighted characters), all I ask is that if you like 
  34. these icons and keep them, please send me either an 
  35. e-mail or a postcard and let me know what you think 
  36. of them. I thrive on feedback, and would be interested 
  37. in all comments. (And besides, the more e-mail I get, the 
  38. faster I'll make Simpson icons. And the more icons will
  39. result, as I get suggestions.)

  42. Once again I want thank Dave Schutz for the use of his
  43. small "bogus" application, that I put my icons on. The
  44. application doesn't really work; double-clicking on it
  45. will do nothing. It's just there to provide funny balloon 
  46. help. When you turn on balloon help in system 7 on the 
  47. Mac and put your cursor over each icon, the text in the 
  48. balloon has been changed to a funny quote from the 
  49. Simpsons show for that character. (No sound; that 
  50. would make the file too big for most people to want
  51. to download.)

  54. You may freely distribute this collection of Simpson
  55. icons, provided you distribute the collection in its
  56. original form with all the files intact, give me credit, 
  57. and do not charge anything for them. If you do use these
  58. icons, I would be delighted to see what you've done. Feel 
  59. free to send me things that use my icons, and thanks!

  64. 1. You really need system 7.
  65. 2. Do a "Get Info" (File menu) on the original icon file.
  66. 3. Click on the icon in the window; choose "Copy" (Edit menu).
  67. 4. Close the window, then "Get Info" on destination file/disk.
  68. 5. Click on the icon, choose "Paste" (Edit menu).
  69. 6. Exclaim in wonderment at the artistry and subtlety of the icon.
  70. 7. Enthusiastically send e-mail or postcard comments to creator.
